- Organic red or pink rose petals
- Medium saucepan
- Filtered water
Carefully wash red or pink petals for a classic rose water hue.
Place the petals in a medium saucepan and add enough water to cover just the tops of the petals. Bring the water to a low simmer for 10 minutes and let the petals cook, uncovered. Remove from heat and allow the petals to keep soaking until the water cools to room temperature. Strain the concoction to collect the liquid and discard the now-anemic petals.
Refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to. use. Rose water can be enjoyed in a variety of drinks and cocktails, as a facial toner (pour into a mister and keep refrigerated or use a cotton ball to apply directly to your skin), or added to bathwater for an ethereal experience.
