Cacao Cashew Smoothie

Enjoying your smoothie with a spoon rather than a straw will help you you feel full faster by slowing down your meal. And who doesn’t want to savor this blend of ripe bananas, raw cacao, brain-boosting reishi mushroom powder, and fresh cashew milk? Start your mornings with this potent, frozen chocolate soup for an energizing boost. 

Smoothie:  

  • 1 banana, previously sliced and frozen (conventional is fine, given the fruit’s thick exterior) 
  • 2 tablespoons 100% organic raw cacao powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon reishi mushroom powder (optional)
  • 1 cup fresh nut milk (see recipe) 
  • 3-4 ice cubes (as necessary) 
  • Optional toppings: unsweetened coconut flakes, raw cacao nibs 

Equipment: 

  • Blender 

Instructions:  

Blend the smoothie ingredients together in a high-powered blender, adding ice cubes as necessary. 

Personalize with preferred toppings.
